The Communities section of Your Ideas Space (YIS) is where users can explore, join, and manage community groups based on shared interests, goals, or projects. You can access this section via the community icon in the main menu.

This page contains two main tabs:

1. My Communities

This tab displays all communities you are currently part of—either as a member, moderator, admin, or owner.

Features:

• Search Bar: Find communities by name using the search field.

• Filter Panel: Open the filter sidebar to select tags and narrow down visible communities.

• Sort Options: Sort communities by:

  • Newest first

  • Oldest first

  • Popular first (based on member/post/project count)

Community Cards:

Each community is displayed as a card with the following details:

• Name and brief description

• Privacy level: Public or Private

• Your role: Owner, Admin, Moderator, Member

• Icons with counts for:

  • Members

  • Posts

  • Projects

Membership Actions:

• If you are a member, the card shows a "Joined" badge.

• Hovering over the "Joined" badge changes it to "Leave". You can leave the community unless you are the owner.

• If you're not a member, a Join button is shown. Clicking it will either:

  • Immediately join (for public/open communities), or

  • Send a join request (for approval-required communities).

2. All Communities

This tab displays every community on the YIS platform, including those you haven’t joined yet.

It offers the same search, filter, and sorting options as "My Communities."

You can view:

• All public community profiles

• Membership stats, privacy, roles (if applicable), and activity levels

• Send join requests or join public communities directly from this page
